Midnight Falcon Studio ground breaking for new studio

Breaking Ground on Midnight Falcon Studio

The first shovel hit the ground on a cool morning — me and Mike Huston, my contractor, side by side. He’s the one turning my sketches into a real studio. We stood over the red clay, knowing this was the start of something long overdue.

I came to Mike with rough pencil drawings of what I wanted — open light, clean lines, room to move between mediums. He took those ideas, drew up the plans, and is building it piece by piece. This isn’t prefab or kit-built — it’s custom from the ground up.

Western North Carolina dirt is stubborn, and that feels right. Anything worth building fights you a little. Watching Mike work, I knew I’d found the right guy — a craftsman who understands the value of precision and patience.

Breaking ground isn’t just about the first shovel. It’s about intent — putting your ideas into someone else’s capable hands and trusting the process.
